The Innersense Love Story

Innersense Organic Beauty was born from a love story between two seasoned beauty professionals: Greg and Joanne. With Greg's work in "big beauty" and Joanne's work as a stylist and platform artist, the couple came together with a dream to create something unique from their experience behind the counter and behind the chair. 

Created from a foundation of love between family, the brand was born and inspired by Greg and Joanne’s own children. Their first-born daughter, Morgan, was 22 months old when she was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder called Williams Syndrome. Greg and Joanne have detailed their struggle of not always knowing what to do for their daughter – they wanted to raise her in a healthy, mindful, and loving environment, but during their dark days of uncertainty and feeling powerless, they sought the advice of their spiritual advisor whose words worked to guide them: “trust your inner sense.”

Trusting Your Inner Sense 

Though Greg and Joanne realise that their circumstance is unique to them, they reiterate that it is universal in its humanness. Sometimes, we all come up against circumstances and struggle to find our way, but our challenges serve as our greatest teachers, and we should trust our inner wisdom to help us find our way to a life filled with gifts.

It was this experience and spiritual guidance that was the catalyst for Greg and Joanne to create a life committed to purpose and mindfulness. They describe Innersense Organic Beauty as a company dedicated to “purity, peace of mind, and the practice of self-care.” And with a clear mission to inform, empower, and inspire beauty and wellness, they strive to help their customers to make cleaner, healthier choices that align with their personal values.

Speaking of Morgan’s arrival, and the arrival of her brother, Max, two years later, the couple describe how their children were blessings and were the sunlight their seeds needed to thrive. Their message from the universe to slow down and live as simply, healthily, and as purely as possible.

Embracing their commitment, Greg and Joanne began working on toxin-free beauty – something the haircare industry was beginning to be abuzz about. They immersed themselves in the world of green chemistry, learning all that they could, and sought to find answers as to why many of their colleagues in the industry were being diagnosed with chronic diseases in higher numbers than professions in other industries.

The couple began working on their own clean formulations and began to sustainably and meticulously source and process the purest ingredients, and educate beauty and wellness professionals and consumers on the hidden toxins in conventional hair care products.
