What is Retinol?

Retinol is derived from Vitamin A and is the most active form of retinoid. It is an incredibly popular ingredient within the industry due to its multi-tasking properties and proven anti-ageing results.

Which skin types is Retinol best suited for?

Retinol is most effective for acne and blemish-prone skin types as well as more mature skin types that are seeking to prevent fine lines and wrinkles. It is recommended that you add a retinol into your routine in your early to mid thirties to prevent your collagen production from declining.

How to use Retinol?

This ingredient is extremely active and therefore makes your skin sensitive to sunlight, so always ensure you use your retinol serum or cream as part of your evening skincare regime and follow up with an SPF in the morning. In order to build up resistance to using retinol on your skin, use once a week and progress gradually to every other night.
