September is the perfect time to reset your beauty routine. Follow our expert-led four-week ritual to repair, hydrate, soothe and bring back your glow after what feels like the longest summer ever.

There’s something about September that naturally feels like a fresh start. Summer routines begin to shift, normal schedules return, and, after weeks of sun, heat, travel, swimming and late nights, your skin and hair might be ready for a reset too.

With expert recommendations from Kimberley, our Clinic Manager and Skin Expert, we’ve created a four-week September reset spanning skincare, haircare, bodycare, supplements and at-home treatments. Think of it as your weekly checklist for getting back into consistent habits, one ritual at a time.

Week One: Repair

First lesson? Before adding more into your routine, take a look at what might need repairing.

After summer, your skin and hair can feel the effects of everything from UV exposure and warmer temperatures to swimming, travel, and heat styling, so it's all about giving your skin what it needs to recover.

As Kimberley explains:

“Sun, heat, swimming, travel and environmental stress can leave the skin barrier feeling compromised, dehydrated and less resilient. Autumn is the perfect time to press pause on over-exfoliation and focus on strengthening, replenishing and supporting the skin.”

For your skin: Sachi Skin Future Veil Firm & Repair Peptide Cream

For the first week of your reset, the focus is resilience. Sachi Skin Future Veil Firm & Repair Peptide Cream combines nourishing, peptide-powered care with a particular focus on supporting your skin barrier and encouraging long-term resilience.

For your hair: Innersense Repair Mask

Hair can take just as much of a hit during summer. UV exposure, swimming, colouring and heat styling can leave your lengths feeling dry and damaged, so introduce a little extra care with the Innersense Repair Mask. Designed for damaged, hydration-deprived hair, it helps strengthen strands while minimising the appearance of split ends.

For your body: Margaret Dabbs London PURE Repairing Hand Cream

Hands are easy to overlook, so make them part of the ritual too. This rich treatment helps restore dry, stressed skin while turning an everyday step into a moment of proper hand care.

From within: ARTAH Skin Clinic

A beauty reset doesn’t have to stop with your bathroom shelf. ARTAH Skin Clinic takes a targeted nutritional approach, with a formula featuring nutrients including vitamin C, zinc, hyaluronic acid, amino acids and antioxidants to support skin health from within.

Your treatment: BON CHARGE Red Light Face Mask

Finish your repair week by making time for an at-home treatment. The BON CHARGE Red Light Face Mask uses red and near-infrared light and is designed to support smoother, brighter and more radiant-looking skin.

Week Two: Hydrate

Once you’ve focused on repair, it’s time to replenish. Warm weather, air conditioning, swimming, sun exposure and travel can all contribute to moisture loss. And when skin becomes dehydrated, it may feel tight or look dull, with fine lines appearing more noticeable.

Kimberley’s focus for week two is simple:

“Week two is about putting water back where it belongs and keeping it there.”

For your skin: BIOEFFECT EGF Serum

BIOEFFECT’s EGF technology lends itself particularly well to this stage of the reset. The EGF Serum is designed to improve hydration while leaving skin looking firmer, smoother and more supple.

For your hair: Davines MOMO Shampoo

If your hair is feeling rough, dry or harder to manage after summer, consider making a seasonal switch to something more replenishing. Davines MOMO Shampoo keeps the focus on gentle cleansing and moisture rather than adding more processing to already-stressed hair.

For your body: NUXE Huile Prodigieuse

Hydration deserves to extend below the neck too. NUXE Huile Prodigieuse creates a sensorial body ritual that helps restore softness while leaving the skin feeling nourished and silky.

From within: ARTAH Cellular Hydration

ARTAH Cellular Hydration is designed around supporting everyday hydration with electrolytes and targeted nutrients, making it an easy addition when busy routines or an active summer have disrupted your usual habits.

Your treatment: FOREO FAQ Glass Skin Collagen Face Mask

For a weekly hydration hit, reach for the FOREO FAQ Glass Skin Collagen Face Mask, designed to deeply hydrate and plump while supporting a smoother, fresher-looking complexion.

Week Three: Soothe

By week three, we’re taking things down a notch. When the skin barrier is stressed, it can feel more reactive, tight or uncomfortable and may become prone to visible redness.

Kimberley explains:

“This week is about taking things down a notch: fewer aggressive actives, more comfort, nourishment and barrier support.”

For your skin: iS Clinical SHEALD Recovery Balm

Rather than reaching for another exfoliating step, this is the week for recovery-focused formulas. A soothing balm can make a welcome addition when skin is feeling dry, compromised or reactive.

For your hair: milk_shake Incredible Milk

The same rule applies to your hair, effective doesn’t need to mean complicated. milk_shake Incredible Milk is a multi-benefit leave-in treatment that makes an easy addition when hair needs a little extra TLC without adding several new steps to your routine.

For your body: NEOM Perfect Night’s Sleep Magnesium Body Butter

NEOM Perfect Night’s Sleep Magnesium Body Butter brings together nourishing bodycare and a calming evening ritual, fitting perfectly into a week centred around both skin and sensory wellbeing.

From within: BodyHealth Perfect Amino

Week three is also an opportunity to think more broadly about restoration. BodyHealth Perfect Amino brings a different dimension to the reset, complementing the week’s focus on nourishing and supporting the body from within.

Your treatment: FOREO FAQ 202 LED Mask

The FOREO FAQ 202 offers multiple LED wavelengths designed to target different concerns, including redness, uneven tone, blemishes and signs of ageing, allowing your treatment step to be adapted around your skin’s needs.

Week Four: Glow

You’ve repaired. You’ve hydrated. You’ve given everything a little breathing space. Now, it’s glow time.

But as Kimberley points out, luminosity isn’t simply about reaching for more exfoliation:

“Once the skin barrier is supported and hydration is restored, it’s time to bring back luminosity. A healthy-looking glow comes from well-hydrated, smooth, balanced skin, not simply piling on more exfoliants.”

For your skin: HydroPeptide Firma-Bright 20% Vitamin C Booster

Vitamin C fits naturally into the final stage of the reset, helping to target dullness and uneven-looking skin while complementing the brighter, more radiant focus of glow week.

For your hair: Glaze Supergloss Clear Conditioning Hair Gloss

Designed to enhance shine, Glaze Supergloss Clear Conditioning Hair Gloss helps hair look smoother and more vibrant between salon visits. Consider it the finishing touch to your four-week hair reset.

For your body: KORRES Aegean Bronze Luminous Body Perfecter

Transitioning into autumn doesn’t mean losing that polished summer finish completely. KORRES Aegean Bronze Luminous Body Perfecter is a fitting final body step for keeping skin looking luminous as the seasons change.

From within: Youth & Earth Liposomal Glutathione

For the final supplement focus, Youth & Earth Liposomal Glutathione fits into the wider skincare-and-beyond approach, with the brand focusing on antioxidant support, vitality, healthy ageing and whole-body wellbeing.

Your treatment: LYMA Laser Starter Kit

The LYMA Laser Starter Kit combines low-level laser technology with a focus on healthier-looking skin, including the appearance of fine lines, uneven tone, redness and texture.

Your Reset, Your Routine

Four weeks. Four focuses. But the idea behind Back To Beauty School is bigger than following a checklist perfectly. It’s about taking a closer look at your routine, understanding what you actually need and creating habits you’ll want to continue long after September ends.

Start with repair, move into hydration, give yourself time to soothe, then finish by bringing back your glow. And remember: you don’t need to use every product or introduce everything at once. Use our four-week reset as a guide, adapting each ritual around your skin, hair and lifestyle.
